As soon as the group enters the BG3 Goblin Camp, they are captivated by a vivid image of three figures: a young, pale woman, a handsome man in his twenties, and a male elf in armor. A voice orders you to obey them, claiming they are her Chosen. The artifact activates, protecting the group from the voice’s influence before it can overpower them. You can ask Shadowheart about the artifact, but all she knows is that her mission is to retrieve it and return to Baldur’s Gate. If not yet recruited, Shadowheart urges the group to take her along, knowing she is being pursued for the artifact. She can either be killed or recruited by the party.

Speaking with Dror Ragzlin in the Goblin Camp BG3, within the Shattered Sanctum, the party may learn that The Absolute cultists are searching for the artifact. Across the Risen Road to the west lies the Githyanki Patrol, where a group of Flaming Fists is arguing with them. Suddenly, a red dragon appears from nowhere, descending from the sky, setting the fists on fire. If Lae’zel is present, she recognizes that the crèche must be nearby and heads over to greet the patrol. Join her to speak with Kith’rak Voss, the dragon’s rider.

The Mountain Pass leads to the Rosymorn Monastery. To summon the cable car, locate the Cable Car Wheel and perform a Strength check. Once summoned, climb aboard the cable car and use the wheel to steer. If the cable car isn’t summoned, an alternative route exists to the west. Travel east until a cinematic triggers, showing three Absolute cultists on the lookout for Moonrise Towers (infiltrate Moonrise Towers) being captured by two Githyanki soldiers.

The cultists follow the Githyanki Warrior as they close the Rosymorn Monastery doors behind them. Unfortunately, lockpicking won’t work as the doors are magically sealed. Just west of the doors, several shattered windows can be climbed through. Once inside, you can sneak past or eliminate a group of drunken Kobolds. Head toward the large wall fracture to the north, then leap up the rocks to reach higher ground within the Monastery.

As an alternative, the party can choose to launch an assault by responding to a prompt in the lower left corner of the screen. This will provide faster and easier access to the Crèche below, as the doors remain open. The cultists have likely either escaped or been escorted down, leaving the group to face the Githyanki Warrior.

Move north up the hall from the upper floor, then cross the opening to the west. Continue north, then west, and you’ll find a set of collapsing steps. Leap through the gaps to descend. After reaching the bottom, head north toward a barrier on the western wall. Destroy it and proceed through. Continue north through the oak door and head west past Lathander’s statue. Re-entering the monastery is made easier by using the lever on the wall to unlock the doors.

Go west and take the steps to the north to enter the Monastery Basement, home to Crèche Y’llek. The Githyanki Warriors are wary of outsiders, but if Lae’zel is in the party, she can pass through without being questioned. Alternatively, the group can gain entry by intimidating, bribing, or manipulating the guards.

The commander of the Crèche, Kith’rak Therezzyn, is located in the Captain’s Chambers, where he is in a heated discussion with a Vlaakith Inquisitor named Ch’r’ai W’wargaz. A shield created by the BG3 Githyanki Barrier Disruptor blocks the path forward. Therezzyn holds the Gith Shard, which is needed to unlock the passage. You can take it by theft or engage in battle with the Kith’rak to obtain the shard. W’wargaz will open the door for the party once he recognizes them. However, if the Kith’rak is shown the artifact, she will lock the group inside and demand they go directly to the Inquisitor.

Upon reaching the Inquisitor’s chambers, Ch’r’ai invites the group to speak with him. If they refuse, he becomes angry and eventually hostile. If engaged in conversation, he reveals that he is well aware of the group’s actions. He comments, “I heard enough druids died by your hand to make the deity Silvanus himself weep,” if the party raided the Druid Grove during “Raid the Grove.” He adds that there is so much goblin blood on their hands that it haunts their children’s nightmares if the group defeated the goblins in “Defeat the Goblins.”

The Inquisitor demands the artifact from the group. As they attempt to turn it over or ask questions, Vlaakith appears through the Planecaster. If the party refuses to comply, W’wargaz and the other Githyanki in the room turn hostile. Ardent Jhe’rezath, Raider Kyrr’a’ath, Warrior Brelal’reth, and Ardent Qu’th accompany him in battle. Afterward, Vlaakith confronts the group, accusing them of tampering with the artifact and ordering the death of the person within.
